About HalalInfoz
HalalInfoz is a dedicated resource for Muslims who want clear, honest, and well-researched answers about whether everyday foods, ingredients, and restaurant menus are halal. From packaged snacks and fast-food chains to food additives hidden behind E-numbers, our goal is to remove the guesswork from your grocery cart and dinner table.
Our Mission
Every day, Muslims are faced with confusing ingredient labels, unfamiliar additives, and fast-food menus that rarely make halal status obvious. HalalInfoz exists to close that gap. We research each topic carefully, referencing ingredient sourcing, manufacturing processes, and Islamic dietary principles (Fiqh) to give you a clear, practical answer — not just a guess.
What We Cover
- Halal status of meat, poultry, and seafood
- Food additives and E-numbers (gelatin, rennet, carmine, lecithin, and more)
- Popular snacks, candy, and packaged foods
- Beverages, including alcohol-content concerns
- Halal guides for major restaurant and fast-food chains
Our Approach
We do not issue religious rulings (fatwas). Instead, we compile publicly available ingredient information, sourcing details, and certification data, and present it alongside general Islamic dietary guidelines so you can make an informed decision. Where a product’s halal status is genuinely unclear or disputed among scholars, we say so plainly.
Who We Are
HalalInfoz is written and maintained by Imran Yousuf, a halal food researcher focused on ingredient transparency and Islamic dietary guidance, along with contributors who share the same commitment to accuracy and clarity.
